Scar tells the lionesses that Mufasa and Simba died and took over the pridelands. Scar gives the hyenas unrestricted hunting access which leads to a food shortage and a drought. He admits to killing Mufasa which leads to a ferocious battle. He is sent hurling over the edge but he survives the fall. He is later killed by hyenas who give into their hunger and rage. He comes back to life after being sucked into the new world. He has a daughter that was being raised by Zira on the isle of the lost.[break][break]
Scar middlename Abioye
Formerly named Taka he changed his name to Scar after he got a scar on his eye from a large buffalo. He is shown to be quite resentful of his brother Mufasa although he has major respect for Serabi. He became jealous of his nephew’s position as the next king of pride rock and he didn’t show up to the ceremony. He devises a plan to kill Mufusa and Simba. He recruits the hyenas mainly Shenzi,Banzai and Ed to build an army. To motivate the hyenas under his rule they would never go hungry. With their help he orchestrates a stampede of wildebeests. He lures Simba into the gorge with a notion that Mufasa had a marvelous surprise for him. He alerts Mufasa who came to Simba’s aid. Instead of helping his brother who was clinging to a cliff he pierces Mufasa’s paws and throws him off the cliff. He places the blame of Mufasa’s death on Simba.[break][break]
